They seem like they may help for this type of cold and congestion, but I’ve only ever heard it used for asthma. Anyone ever use it for a cold? Does it work better then the traditional OTC meds for a cold?

some people do use it for colds to help open up their airway when they are congested. I don’t think it does much for cold symptoms. Depends on what your symptoms are, but if you’re congested with a cold, try Advil cold and sinus (behind the counter because it has sudafed in it).

Primatene tablets are dangerous for anything- they cause increased heart rate and blood pressure and can cause stroke. You are better to use Tylenol Sinus or similar for a head cold.
