I don’t have any remedies but have found that damp dusting rather than furniture polish helps. Just use a damp cleaning cloth or duster to wipe down surfaces.

There’s salt rocks that you can buy in certain drug stores or spas that supposedly purify the air. It’s not an actual rock, just shaped like one and they vary in sizes. you can buy one and plug it in next to his bed. sorry that wasnt tone of help

When our son was 11 we took him to a Buteyko clinic. Best thing we ever did. He was a chronic asthmatic, on preventative, ventolin, steroids etc, and it was getting worse. The Buteyko theory is a crock, I reckon, but you can’t argue with the results. Took dedication, and about 3 months of practice (then 6 months of using it when required) for him to come completely off all his medication. Went from an asthma attack every week, to one every 6 months, to one a year, to none.
Buteyko is a breathing method that for whatever reason, teaches the body to not react with an astma attack. It’s easy to learn and you make a game or competition of it to keep your son interested. You can do it on your own, but realistically, unless you go to a clinic (and pay money) you wont stick with it. Our clinics in Australia give a money back guarantee. After seeing the results, I would have paid double.
The medical profession denies that it works. May be due to the billions of dollars they get from treating asthma. Believe me, if you learn it properly, it works.

Yeah, the best home remedy is to take the medicine your doctor ordered home. Please I’m just thinking of you son’s best interests here. Simply do what your doctor says.
God bless.

get him to learn the Buteyko method of breathing and he wont have to take any medicines again, believe me.
also Google search "asthma home remedies" and you will get a lot of web sites dealing in natural cures.
Google search "Buteyko"
