There are as many different causes of eczema as there are eczema types. Some types are triggered by common household allergens and irritants. In fact, your home probably has substances in it that are known to cause very severe eczema reactions. Controlling eczema is important and therefore it is also important that you understand what triggers your condition.

There are essentially two different types of eczema causes in your home, allergens and irritants. However, these triggers can affect your body in many different ways and cause different forms of eczema. Some reactions happen on the surface of the skin where some reactions take place internally and show symptoms within your skin. To better understand how these allergens and irritants trigger your eczema you should first know the differences between the internal and external reactions.

Contact dermatitis and atopic dermatitis are different eczemas but both can be easily triggered by household allergens and irritants. If an allergen or irritant touches your skin and causes an external reaction, this is contact dermatitis. You will get a red, itchy, and inflamed rash at the point of contact. If your immune system reacts internally to an irritant or allergen and causes a flare up within your skin, this is atopic dermatitis. Normally, there is also a hormone imbalance or stress-related toxins in your system which increases the severity of the reaction. This form of eczema is often painful, swollen, and itchy. It will also appear anywhere on your body, not just as the point of contact with the irritant or allergen.

You can find irritants throughout your home. Sometimes they are airborne, such as cigarette smoke and air fragrances. There may be more unusual airborne irritants such as fumes from onions, peppers, and other prepared or cooked foods. If you run a humidifier in your home then you should also verify that you are only using distilled water in the machine. Otherwise, you may be exposing yourself to water-based chemicals, like chlorine, within the humid air.

You may also find your irritant in some of your common household chemicals. The more common household chemical irritants are found in laundry detergents, fabric softeners, nail varnish, and latex products. If you have already checked these products and are still having occurrences of eczema, then you should check some of the items you use on a regular basis. Synthetic fibers within bedding and beauty products can often be an irritant to your eczema.

Allergens are most likely either consumable or environmental. Nuts, berries, dairy, and other similar foods should always be your first suspects. Some foods, like peanuts and strawberries, are known to cause both internal and external eczema.

The allergens within your home environment can be more difficult to control, but it is not impossible. Some of the common household allergens are dust mites, pet hair and dander, mildew, and mold. These can typically be controlled through regular cleanings that include a high quality vacuum cleaner. However, you may also want to purchase an air filter to remove these allergens from the air in your home.

Do not be overwhelmed by the number of potential eczema triggers in your home. Your eczema is probably only triggered by one or two of them and this makes it easier to control. It should not be too difficult for you to identify your trigger and remove it from you home. Your best form of treatment will be to eliminate the irritants and allergens in your home that cause your eczema.

Being a parent is a truly amazing experience but such a obligation comes with a great deal of stress as far as being continually worried about another persons well being is concerned.

These stress levels are somewhat exacerbated when you child is diagnosed with autism.

Children have a habit of wandering off but when you have a child that is unable to commune effectively especially in stressful situations then you have an issue and a need to be able to communicate important information for them even if you are not there.

Allowing your child to wear a toddler’s medical id bracelet or a kid’s medical bracelet will give you one less thing to concern yourself about at times like these.

You can have both sides of the bracelet engraved so there is plenty of room for all that essential information, when deciding what to have engraved onto the bracelet you should take the following into consideration:

Do you want your childs name on there. This is a personal decision and you need to think about how your child reacts to the use of his/her name. If it would make them overly trusting of a stranger then I would leave it out.

Your contact number

A secondary contact number if at all possible

The telephone number of your family doctor

A description of your childs condition together with any allergies that they may suffer from.

A list of any medication that your child is prescribed

People who work in the emergency services are trained to be fully aware of the symbol which appears on kids medical bracelets. The bracelets come in a variety of designs and sizes and will fit all ages, but make sure you get one with the medical symbol clearly displayed so it can be seen and acted upon as and when necessary.

What if you could get rid of the painful and uncomfortable feeling of nausea that comes with irritable bowel syndrome? How differently would you live from day to day knowing that you never have to deal with the IBS again? This article will reveal some simple strategies that will make living ibs free a reality.

The truth is finding the exact cause of nausea in IBS sufferers can be a very difficult task because each person seems to have his or her own individual triggers. The result is that what triggers the nausea in person A is not likely to be what triggers the symptom in person B.

It is therefore very important that if you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome that you know the foods and events trigger your symptoms. One of the best ways to achieve this is to keep a food and symptoms diary.

You simply note down everything you eat on a daily basis for about two to four weeks and also note what symptoms you get and when you get them.

But what is IBS? It is as a functional disorder of the digestive system. What this simply means is that the digestive system of the sufferer is not functioning normally as it should although there are no identifiable reasons to explain why.

So if you were to take a peek inside the digestive system of a sufferer it would look perfectly normal.

Apart from IBS nausea, other common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome include bloating, flatulence, constipation or/and diarrhea, abdominal pain and spastic contractions of the colon.

We discussed earlier it was important for you to know what your triggers are because prescription drugs such as anticholinergics only mask the symptoms of the ailment, once you stop taking the drugs, the symptoms return and usually with a vengeance.

The second thing you can do to eliminate your IBS Nausea is to use pure peppermint oil. Peppermint is known to have anti-spasmodic action and analgesic (pain-killing) properties to help soothe your digestive tract, ease any tightness relieve abdominal pain, and stop you from feeling nauseous.

Imagine you are a party and so far you have been enjoying yourself mingling with friends and family and having a good laugh.

You really could not have wished for a better ending to the day, when of a sudden you feel a tightness in your stomach. It is such a strong pain that it grips the whole of your stomach and the next thing you think is “where is the toilet?”

Sadly you know what it is. It is the pain and diarrhea associated with your irritable bowel syndrome. You know something you have eaten has triggered that pain and diarrhea but unfortunately you do not know which food it was.

You know from that moment onwards that your evening is ruined.

Later on I will reveal a resource that will provide you with the most comprehensive list of foods to avoid with IBS but we will look at 3 things you can you do to help your irritable bowel syndrome

1. Gluten: This is a protein that is commonly found in a lot of grains including but not restricted to wheat, oats, rye, spelt, and barley. The first thing you need to do is go on a gluten free diet for about 2 weeks.

This means you have to pay attention to the foods you eat and read food labels and even over the counter medications because some of the foods and medications that you least expect may contain gluten.

You should see a noticeable improvement in your symptoms once you eliminate this protein from your diet.

2. Coffee: I used to suffer from IBS myself so I have experienced some of the symptoms e.g. gas, bloating, stomach making noises, spastic contractions of the colon, stomach cramps etc.

I noticed a significant improvement in my IBS symptoms the very next day I stopped drinking coffee.

You see coffee is an acidic food and it will increase the acidity of your stomach. If you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, it is important that your stomach is not too acidic.

One of the easiest ways to reduce your stomach acidity is by consuming more alkaline foods.

3. Tailor your diet to your personal biochemistry: This means that you have to eat according to your nutritional type. We are not all designed alike and one diet does not fit all.

This means you have to know your specific nutritional needs according to your personal biochemistry, metabolism and genetic makeup.

We have touched on 3 steps to IBS freedom but there is a comprehensive list of foods to avoid with ibs and other simple steps you can take that will ensure you never experience any of the symptoms of IBS again.

Strep rash also known as scarlatina or scarlet fever is one of the more common types of skin rashes. And it usually occurs during a bout of strep throat.

Even looking at pictures of Red Itchy skin rashes may not help. Thats why its always a good idea to see your physician for a diagnosis. Since there are so many different types of skin disorders that look like rashes.

According to the American Dermatology Association a strep rash usually appears about 12 and 48 hours after strep throat manifests. Some symptoms of strep throat include a headache, sore throat, high fever, swollen glands and infected tonsils.

A strep rash looks like a bad sunburn with little red bumps. These bumps can start on the chest and then develop into a groin rash, underarm rash, and into a rash on the legs. It can also develop into a sweaty rash and be very itchy.

When you press on a strep rash spot, it whitens. It will take about a week for the rash to go away. Afterward the skin may peel for several more weeks, making things very uncomfortable.

Strep rashes are most common in children and young teens 5-15 years of age. Antibiotics are the most common course of treatment and may clear the strep throat and rash, but the itching might still persist.

While most strep rashes occur due to a strep throat, it is possible for this rash to develop in response to a skin infection. This is serious and should be looked at by a physician.

While a strep rash is not contagious, the strep infection is very contagious. You can protect yourself against this by keeping your hands clean, especially during flu season. Also, avoid contact with others until you have been taking antibiotics for a least a full day. You can also arm yourself with an herbal tonic that helps boost your immune system and keeps the skin healthy.
